About me

Giancarlo Bottalico is an Italian music composer and sound designer that blends electroacoustic expertise with advanced orchestration techniques.

​

​His journey in film scoring took off in 2023, working with different indie film commissions leading to his participation to several film festivals and competitions in Australia, California and Italy.​

Expanding into the video game world, he contributed with original music to some indie titles created during the Global Game Jam.

​

Until 2023, he has also been the lyricist and frontman of the Italian hardcore project Carnelian,  showcasing his versatility across different musical landscapes.

​

He studied Electroacoustic Composition in his hometown, Bari, has studied video game music composition at Thinkspace Education, and is a Wwise certified user.

​

He is currently based in Bologna, pursuing a master's degree and a master's post-graduate degree in film scoring
