Giancarlo Bottalico is an Italian music composer and sound designer that blends electroacoustic expertise with advanced orchestration techniques.

His journey in film scoring took off in 2023, working with different indie film commissions leading to his participation to several film festivals and competitions in Australia, California and Italy.

Expanding into the video game world, he contributed with original music to some indie titles created during the Global Game Jam.

Until 2023, he has also been the lyricist and frontman of the Italian hardcore project Carnelian, showcasing his versatility across different musical landscapes.

He studied Electroacoustic Composition in his hometown, Bari, has studied video game music composition at Thinkspace Education, and is a Wwise certified user.

He is currently based in Bologna, pursuing a master's degree and a master's post-graduate degree in film scoring
